Brian Gardiner
My Guitar
I started building this guitar on Sept. 1 2001 - I was playing it by Feb. 2002, but I never finished it. About a year later the bridge started to lift. I then took the strings off and put it away. In the last few months I have French polished it, re-glued the bridge and shaved some more wood off the soundboard. Now it is done... for now! Here's some pictures.
This is it before the French Polish. Note the formal black on white look, which
was the look I was after. It disappeared with the French polish, unfortunately.
I like the finished look, however, so all is well.

Here it is now with the blonde shellac. Also some pictures of
the bridge, rosette and headpiece (below)

And finally the Back.
For those who care about such things, here are the specs:
Top is Engelmann Spruce
Back and Sides Rosewood
Bridge and Fingerboard Ebony
Neck is Spanish Cedar
Schaller tuning pegs, bone nut and saddle.
