Starbucks Komodo Dragon Blend
A bold roasted bean, the first thing you notice when you open the Kimodo Dragon blend is the aroma. Brewed in a french press and drank black, it is a surprisingly mild coffee without bitterness. Loaded with flavour, the Kimodo Dragon blend may be the best coffee you can get without ordering them from a roaster or roasting them yourself.

Life, in conjunction with google, opened their photo archive this week with thousands of pictures being made available.
Everything from the civil war to rock stars there’s an embarrassment of riches for the photography buff.
From WWII, a squadron of torpedo bombers. Or a portrait of Mark Twain.
Life in Pictures: an outstanding resource to go with an outstanding coffee.

Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow

Starbucks Italian Roast Bean
The Italian roast is a bold, unsubtle coffee that provides an early morning jolt. Perfect when it’s too early on a cold morning.
Starting this week, the Saturday morning coffee will, despite claims to the opposite, provide some annoying chit-chat. I will use this time to provide links to a few pictures I found through the week.
Lionel’s Photo Blog had two slow shutter pictures that I really liked. The first was Train in Motion. Beautiful clarity around the speedy train. His second was Powerscourt Waterfall.
I often take sports pictures and what I always aim to capture is motion. Miguel A. Lopes from My Photojournalism caught a great shot of a snowmobiler flipping.
It appears f12 photo dept got to London a different time of year than I did. A beautiful evening shot of the London Eye is a prize, but browse the whole blog.

French Pressed Coffee
The French press. It’s a low tech method of getting all the flavour you can from your bean. A few scoops of ground beans, 3 to 5 minutes of brew time, and press in the handle. The grounds get trapped in the bottom and full flavoured coffee is ready for drinking. A perfect way to enjoy fresh ground coffee.

Roll Up the Rim to Win!
Another Canadian tradition, and the first sign of spring around here: Tim Horton’s Roll Up The Rim to Win contest. Everything from a free coffee or donut to a car is up for grabs when you roll the edge of your coffee cup to win a prize - or be told “sorry, play again.”
