Ontario, We Hardly Knew Ye…

March 31st, 2014

“This is a premier who talks a big game about accountability… but she chose not to show up,” Howarth told reporters.

However, Howarth dodged questions on whether her party would support the Liberal budget…

This has been a regular feature of Ontario politics since the last election. Howarth supports Wynne on the only votes that count, then spends the rest of her time complaining about her politics or ethics.

And, oh yea, PC leader Tim Hudak will still be hard pressed to win any election that may or may not be coming. That is, to put it bluntly, a scathing indictment of Hudak and the party that simply doesn’t have the guts to put up a leader with a chance to win.

That said, Hudak deserves kudos for what he said this weekend, and it bears repeating since Wynne has threatened to sue him for saying it, thus letting us know she doesn’t want us hearing it, and Hudak has all the stones of a post-pubescent soprano in an all male choir and is likely to retract at any moment:

Now we know that since this happened during her time in the premier’s office that she oversaw and possibly ordered the destruction of government documents as part of the cover-up

As Kate over at SDA points out, our man Dalton is hiding at Harvard. Fortunatly, it turns out the internet revolution has,in fact, come to Harvard and they have email there now. She thinks emailing him there might be something worth doing, but I kind of think emailing Harvard themselves with your concern over their choice of Fellow and his ethics might have more bang for the buck.

“Wynne would not be there…

when the OPP (ahem) tour her office at the legislature.

Funny, listened to a chunk of John Tory’s show today, and this isn’t what he was talking about.

…laws are what happens on videos nobody has seen.daltons-ontario

You know, with Kathleen Wynne’s tax increasesbehind the scenes deal makinginvolving herself where she has no business being, already whining about how the Feds won’t spend on her behalf and the perverts she surrounds herself with, I was beginning to miss Dalton McGuinty

Senior Ontario Liberal political staff were breaking the law when they hit delete on emails that could have shed light on why the government cancelled two gas plants at a cost of $585 million, Information and Privacy Commissioner Dr. Ann Cavoukian says.

The commissioner found that emails sent and received by former chiefs of staff to the minister of energy and former premier Dalton McGuinty were deliberately deleted…

Hey, there he is. Welcome back Dalton.

Premier Never Won an Election: Tax Hikes at all costs…

Comments Off on Premier Never Won an Election: Tax Hikes at all costs…

and all costs will include tax hikes. Or something:

The whole process will be much better if, in the end, we have municipal support… But the reality is… that we have to take action. And as a Provincial government, it’s my responsibility to determine what actions that we will take

found-moneySo Premier Wynne, who has never faced any electorate as leader, is telling the people who have faced an electorate, my way or the highway. And her way?

New money has to be found.

Ahh, found money. Always the best kind. “Well you see, Minister Sousa was wandering down the street when lo-and-behold, a bag containing $2-billion was just sitting there…”

Dear Ms. I’ll call you Premier when you have won an election, there is no such thing as found money, there just my money, and Joe who lives up the street’s money and money our kids haven’t earned yet but your determined to steal from them before they do. Nothing found about it, just labour being stolen.

Here’s an idea. First, call an election. Second, run on this platform: Every working adult in the Province must put in 1-hour extra every week at their job, without compensation. The money they would have earned goes to the Provincial treasury. Furthermore, the future earnings of all Ontarians under the age of 18, including those not yet born, will be have 50% taken off the top, before taxes. Think you can win on that policy? No?

Yet it’s the net effect of finding money, and your talking of imposing it without an election, without ANY mandate.

Dear Ms. Wynne, resign your government now, call an election and be up front with the people of ontario about exactly how much more you plan to tax us. That would be the honest, ethical, non-Liberal thing to do.
