Led Zeppelin Reunion

September 12th, 2007

They are calling it a one night only event, and with Zeppelin’s history that seems likely. However, if they are ever going to throw a tour together, this seems like the time. And remember, a few weeks ago everybody was denying the one off event.

Besides, I don’t think the $45.00 I have saved in my Zeppelin fund is enough to get me to Londen for the weekend of November 24th, so they have to do more shows.

I was big fan of Led Zeppelin, saw them in concert 5 times, 4 in Vancouver, once in Seattle. They put on a great show, no backup band, just about 3 hours of Zeppelin, followed by another half hour of the then obligatory “encore”. Paid five dollars for the privilege.

I wouldn’t want to see them now, as old men, especially Plante, whose voice at the charity concert they did back in the 80’s, had deteriorated, a lot.

Bonzo’s dead, guess they’ll utilize the kid, Jason.

Old rockers should stay retired. Mostly what they sold was rampant “youth” and rebellion, and, as old millionaires, it’s all rather sad.
