Why Isn’t The Speaker Investigating David McGuinty?

October 26th, 2006

As long as The Speaker is listening to the tapes again, perhaps he could confirm whether David McGuinty was yipping across the floor while The Environment Minister was speaking.

Where I come from that is rude and disrespectful and, as the Environment Minister Rona Ambrose is a woman, a slap in the face of all women. Canadian women deserve better than to have arrogant men with lofty ideas and lowly positions yapping while they are trying to speak. Really, is it any wonder so few women go into politics?

I strongly feel David’s inability to let a woman finish a sentence reflects poorly on all McGuinty’s. If David McGuinty held any position worthy of resigning from, I would recommend he do it. Alas, he does not and we are forced to demand the resignation of his brother, Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty.

Betcha won’t hear a single word from the Liberals about this. Poor Belinda takes precedence.

The G&M is covering the story of a senior Imam in Austrailia who has some revealing ideas about how Islam views women.

In short, women are meat. Oh yeah, if you don’t package the meat properly, you can’t really expect it not to be raped… uh, well, that is to say… spoiled.

Ha Ha.. Great post Brian. A bit over the top, but still not as over the top as the lefties.

Apparently all you need are 8 sworn affidavits from Liberal members.

why didn’t Peter just do a broad apology (“IF I offended someone it was not my intent blah blah blah”) I can’t believe how much political capital he’s used up on this.

LoL. “Peter used up political capital”? I would say Belinda has achieved an enviable status of a complete joke even beyond what she was after Domi. I mean, can ANYONE now have a serious conversation with the woman.

As for the Liberals… I can speak for myself: I wouldn’t shake a hand of people who made this fuss out of a joke. Just shows how shallow they are to go on about nothing for 7 days.

Got em. Every affidavid sworn against MacKay must certaintly asknowledge that David McGuinty a) spoke first (in fact is the only peerson to have used the word dog), b) did not have the floor.

It is the one, and only one, undeniable fact in the whole story.

    A bit over the top

It was meant to be. This whole story is over the top. Don’t belive me, substitute the people in it with Peter MacKay, Belinda Stronach &tc.

Where I come from that is rude and disrespectful and, as Belinda Stronach is a woman, a slap in the face of all women. Canadian women deserve better than to have arrogant men with lofty ideas and lowly positions yapping while they are trying to speak. Really, is it any wonder so few women go into politics?

I strongly feel Peter MacKay’s inability to let a woman finish a sentence reflects poorly on all Conservatives.

This could have come out of any of the major dailies this week. So yes, it is over the yop – this whole thing is over the top.

LoL. “Peter used up political capital”?

I fear anon may be right on this one. Belinda has certaintly blown some of her capital, if she had any left. But I think some damage has been done to MacKay. How much remains to be seen.
