Cool For Cats Friday

I went to Roger Waters The Wall tour last night. Showed up with a Pentax DSLR camera and 300mm lens, to take some shots from my seat, in the 300 level and at the opposite end of the rink from the stage. The geniuses wouldn’t let me use it. Made me check it at guest services as if I was going to take some pictures I could sell or some stupidity. Talk about stuck in a pre-internet mind set.
So instead of shooting decent quality pictures from 300 feet away, I took shitty quality video on my iphone. How this is better if your Roger Waters, I’ll never know.
One more picture, because shitty pictures are better than half decent pictures.
I was at the Wednesday night show… what an experience. Once in a lifetime for sure.
Uh.. why didn’t you use the camera? I’m sure a 300 mm can get in there no problem. The pics are okay and it looks like a Pink Floyd show from what I can see.
The sound is good, not surprising for Waters. I wonder if he was ‘singing; to a recording or not? Mind you I know that Floyd was meticulous in recreating their sound for live shows.
There was a band, and you could see them most of the night so I expect they played all night. Although we thought about it too: wonder if he’s messing with us and just playing the record 🙂
You’re right, the sound quality was excellent.
Missed the camera part: they made me check it. It was a no-no??? So I took some video instead. How Roger Waters wins I have no idea.
