The ex-Blogging Tory?
According to Allie over at Summer’s Daydream, The Blogging Tories are enforcing an heretofore unknown policy that members may not have another partisan blogrolls on their blog:
…we have a strict policy on multiple Canadian partisan blogrolls. If you’d like to be included on the Blogging Tories blogroll, we don’t accept blogs that also have the green bloggers / progressive bloggers / blogging dipper blogrolls on their blogs. We add conservative blogs. If your blog is indeed conservative please consider dropping the other blogrolls.”
Sorry to hear it, as I have Liblogs and the Blogging Dippers on mine. I probably get more visitors from the Blogginng Tories than from any other single source. But I didn’t start this blog so other’s could tell me what to do, and it ain’t happenin’ now. If I had to shut it down I would, but all three blogrolls are staying put.
No point debating the issues if you can’t find the other side.

I will save that my belief is absolute – you should not have to remove anything.
And I should point out, I haven’t been asked to. You have, and you should not have to either.
I don’t see what the big deal is. I mean, if you want to find the opposition, you can use bookmarks. Why do you have to put all the other blogrolls on your blogroll?
Plain orneryness seems like a silly reason to get kicked out of anything. Itdraws a picture of a mule digging in his heels, while being yarded on by the bit. The picture isn’t a flattering one.
I put other blogrolls there because if you are looking for something, I want you to be able to find it. Because if I make a point on an issue, and you think “I wonder how the other side of this issue feels”, you can scroll down to the blogging dippers and click ’til your hearts content to find out what you want to know.
I put them there because it’s my blog dammit. As for ornereyness, if I stopped blogging tommorow that would be OK. I would continue to write, maybe not political stuff but oh well, but I would write. So mule headedness doesn’t really come into it. I am a conservative, and if that’s not good enouogh for the blogging tories, that’s fine. We will part ways amiacably.
And I should note, I have had no correspondance with the blogging tories on this issue, we are dealing, at this stage, in a purely hypothtical issue.
