Wow

October 15th, 2008

I simply can’t imagine PM Stephen Harper having his security detail pushing a reporter out of the way, then Harper telling that reporter, “the last one I want to speak first is (name the network), do you understand that?” and the reporter spends the rest of his air time defending Harper.

Why do I suspect the next minute would be what a bully Harper is, not what a classy guy he is. So I’ll say it: between Elizabeth May’s concession speech and this clip of Stéphane Dion, Canadians got an abject lesson in gracelessness last night.

graceless politicians, Stephane Dion

    Wow, indeed.

Thanks for posting this. My husband saw it and tried to tell me about it but I was having trouble believing it.

I must say the CTV was quite gracious about it.

It didn’t take too long before CTV
was making excuses for Dion’s hissy fit with one of it’s reporters. If this had of been Harper they would be showing it over and over and having Craig Oliver talk about this behavior.

Can you imagine if PM Harper did this to Roger Smith? – We would hear for at least 2 weeks steady – how PM Harper was a control freak -it would be played over and over, but we all know what Roger Smith’s politics are – liberal to the core – so he said Mr. Dion was upset – so that is fine – he can bang reporters around – we all know what PM slapped someone in the face – liberals are allowed to do that – it is just the Tories who are freaks – Last night Craig Oliver was so upset his liberals lost – he made a complete fool of himself as they all did on CTV. Just look on the blogs and see the praise the CBC received – yes the CBC – how unbias they were – and how everyone left CTV and watched them – what a great show it was….

Then you didn’t follow the election very closely if that is your thought.

The RCMP regularly hassled reporters who dared to try to ask the PM a question when the PM didn’t want to be asked a question.

The RCMP were even spotted putting up signs for the Conservatives. See that anywhere in the anti-Liberal MSM?

If this had been pmsh saying what Mr. Dion just said…we would not be hearing “excuses” from the reporter for his behaviour…followed up by Mr. Robertson ‘s he is a decent person routine…

    I will never understand it…never
