Time for a New Ontario Tory Leader

January 2nd, 2008

For those who think that Ontario Conservatives need a new leader if they are ever to win an election, there is a web page set up to further the end of getting rid of John Tory as the leader of the Ontario PC party.

Nick Kouvalis has set up a web page Draft a Leader to push Tories to lose the present leader, hereto known as ‘Red’. As I have stated before, if Red is in, then I am out. So I believe it behoves me to give Nick his props. Nick, along with Paul from Blue Blogging Soapbox, have also set up a facebook page, for those who are members/addicts.

Good luck guys, and if there’s anything I can do…

    John needs to go.
Maybe take a run at Miller (if he’s still around in 3 years).
His hubris showed in the campaign in (a) running in an urban seat instead of staying in safe Duffering Caledon and (b) needing to be right on the Faith Schools issue – among the most contentious issues ever in Ontario politics, (c) refusing to let the campaign unfold as designed by Lasch.
Now, he’s run to the Federal Party and it’s clowns in campaign direction for advice on how to win elections.
He’s lost at sea and has never been good at accepting the fact that others might be smarter at some things than he is.

In his letter to party members John called the election result disappointing. A slim Liberal minority might have been called disappointing. The actual results were a disaster. Too many people a completely disgusted with the election campaign for John to stay on as leader.

These are the facts as I see them: Tory is not a man. He said he would be responsible and instead he is ducking and weaving. Also, he has shown that not only can’t he do the job in the pits but he can’t drive the car either on the track. He has to go. Lastly, the schools issue is smoke and mirrors as our elites WANTED this only a few years before, but panicked when they realized that Arabs would take advantage of the plan. This is a non-story that I am tiring of hearing about. (real conservative)
