Steve Janke’s Angry in the Great White North is one of the premier political blogs in Canada. His work during the recent election was outstanding. Many people may not have heard yet that one of the results of all that hard work is that he is being sued by former Liberal MP Blair Wilson. Stop in AGWN and while you’re there, give the Donation page a tap.

Al MacDermid and Mike Brock have created a fantastic live weekly show. In it’s second season, they have also begun streaming live using UStream. They’ve invested in some good quality hardware that produces excellent sound quality and allows for call-in guests and live callers. The show features various guests as well as discussion on current politics and general news events…

Controversial, sometimes funny and always fighting the fight. Some people might not consider the tent big enough for Gerry, I think that’s a mistake. You might not always agree with him, but his principled brand of conservatism is essential to the debate.

The Conservative Queen caught my eye this week with her posts on Election Financing. Her sharp eye also caught the fact that the Liberal Party website is still soliciting donations for Carolyn Bennett’s Leadership Campaign, even though she has already paid off her debts. (Maybe they’re helping her get a head start on the upcoming Liberal Leadership race!)
Paul over at Blue Blogging Soapbox, an old friend of At Home in Hespeler, has returned to the Blogging Tories after a year-and-a-half absence. As such, he is returning to an old habit, the Blogging Tory Site of the Week.
Last January when he left the Blogging Tories Paul asked me to take over the Site of the Week. I did and ran it until October. It faded from sight as other blogging activities here faded. I was actually pondering whether to restart it in September, along with some other old standards. Now that Paul has returned, I will instead go to an old habit of parroting his choice sometime through the week.
For the record, here is the choices I made when I was picking Blogging Tories Site of the Week:
October 21: Freedom is My Nationality
October 14: Liberty is Good
October 7: Crux-of-the-MatterSeptember 16: Joanne’s Journey
September 9: Making Sense With NichollsMay 13: The SFrank85 Report
May 6: Little Old Lady Speaks OutApril 29: Exactly Right
April 15: NB Tory Lady
April 8: The Lasso of TruthMarch 25: Climbing Out Of The Dark
March 11: Right In Manitoba
March 4: The Great PumpkinFeb 25: Le Politico
Feb 18: Hobbs is “Right”
Feb 11: Clear Conservative Thought
Feb 4: Liberty is GoodJan 28 Truth About Marketing Choice
Jan 7: Christian Conservative
Welcome back Paul, and if I can help please feel free to let me know.
Be sure to slide down to Oct 16 post on the throne speech:
Where was Dion?
The story of the week, as far as I’m concerned, has been the native occupation in the Caledonia area, the beating of Sam Gualtieri by native “youths,” and Dalton McGuinty’s running away from the problem. Joanne has been all over this story and was, thus, un-ignorable as a choice for Site of the Week.
He is not only one of the top 5 political minds in the country, he wrote the list, and this week Gerry joined the blogging Tories.
Welcome to the team Gerry.
